The Eastown Business Association thanks every business in the Eastown district for participating in making our “one of a kind” area of Grand Rapids; a place everyone wants to visit. We welcome everyone to get involved in making our little corner a better place to visit and do business. The following are a few things that each Eastown business owner or property owner can do to keep Eastown a vibrant, clean and welcoming business district:
Remove Ice and Snow in the Winter
Businesses/Property Owners are responsible for removing any accumulation of ice and/or snow from the public sidewalks adjoining such property within twenty-four hours of the accumulation.
Keep Sidewalks Free of Debri and Cigarette Butts
Businesses/Property Owners are responsible for removing debris from the public sidewalks adjoining such property. A cigarette receptacle is recommended and should be emptied often, as NO TRASH OR CIGARETTE BUTTS MAY BE SWEPT INTO THE STREETS. Contact the Eastown Business Association (EBA) if you are interested in a cigarette receptacle or an upright dustpan/broom for sweeping up trash.
If you have concerns regarding vandalism such as graffiti or defacement, or a believe crime has been committed, call the Grand Rapids Police Department’s Non-Emergency number: 616-456-3400 or call our Eastown Police Liaison Jeremy Huffman: 616-520-3478. For reporting graffiti: 616-456-3666.
